Take a Chapin Tour...
Our south campus building was recently renovated to introduce all new appliances, furniture, paint, lighting, and kitchenettes. However, the hall retains gorgeous pre-renovation patterned ceilings and accented furnaces.
Dorm Rooms
Chapin features the largest doubles on campus, with most doubles measuring around 18.5' x 13.25'. A few rooms are slightly larger, and the corner rooms are a little smaller, but they have two windows, so it's a worthwhile tradeoff.
Each double comes with two elevated beds, two twin XL mattresses, two bedside tables, two desks (with push-pin backing, a light, and lockable drawers), two chairs, two pairs of drawers, two walk-in closets, two recycling bins, and two trash bins. Between under-bed storage and closet space, there's enough room to store just about everything you might want to bring.

Our bathrooms are some of the cleanest on campus. Each floor has a communal bathroom, complete with five showers and storage for toiletries.
The ChLounge
Chapin comes fully equipped with its own Playstation 4, Wii U, and enormous TV to play it on. We have many games like Just Dance, New Super Mario Bros, Smash Bros, and Mariokart. For the classic video game lovers, there's also an N64 graciously provided by one of our beloved former presidents. There’s plenty of controllers but consider bringing any if you have them. There's also a pool table and snack and drink vending machines.

The ChLounge is used for all types of events, such as Cinema Club or Game Nights. Chapinos can use the ChLounge facilities whenever they like, and can even reserve the space ahead of time to ensure privacy.
The War Room
Our War Room has an upright piano and two comfy modular couches. There’s plenty of tables, chairs, and white boards. Chapinos hang out in the War Room all the time, whether it be for studying or just talking with friends.

The library area makes a great place for group study sessions or meetings. There's a big boardroom table and plenty of chairs and white boards. Each room also has sliding folding doors for privacy or silence. Chapinos also play from our selection of games like Clue, Risk, and Codenames, or even solve puzzles together. Chapin has also collected a number of textbooks over the years, so be sure to check if the ones you need are in there! The War Room also has a desk computer and two free printers, one in color and one in black-and-white.
Kitchens and Laundry Rooms
Chapinos have access to three kitchens! There is one kitchen on each floor, each with a refrigerator, microwave, cabinets and a sink. The first floor kitchen is also equipped with an oven and stove. Chapinos frequently get together in the first floor kitchen and invite friends to bake cakes and cookies. The space is also used for Chapin Cooking events, which have included dumpling assembling and potato soup making!

There’s a separate laundry room on the first floor, while the second and third floor kitchens also act as a laundry room, each with newly added washers and dryers (two each). Remember: laundry is free!
